Weekday appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will be welcomed wherever possible. On weekends and Thursday evenings, to avoid disappointment, please call or email to schedule an appointment.
At Be Enchanted Brides we believe that shopping for your wedding gown should be an unforgettable experience so we don’t want to rush you. We advise you to allow 90 minutes to 2 hours in our store so that we have time to get to know you, your wedding plans, and your hopes for the dress.
You will be offered morning or afternoon tea while we complete our bridal consultation form. During this time, you will also have the opportunity to look at bridal books to learn more about styles and what will best suit your body type, then when you’re ready, the fun part begins – choosing the gowns to try on!
Helpful hints for bridal shopping:
- Wear a minimum of make-up and avoid bridal shopping just after a spray tan
- Avoid wearing a lot of jewellery that can damage the delicate fabrics and laces of the gowns
- Wear a strapless bra if you have one but don’t go out and buy one especially for the occasion as its best to wait until you have the gown before making an expensive underwear purchase
- Come with an open mind – sure you may have your heart set on a certain style, but it may not suit you. Be adventurous and willing to try on gowns you wouldn’t expect to like as they just might surprise you
- Don’t bring an entourage – too many opinions tend to drown out the bride’s. After all, this is your dress and you should have the final say. One or two people you trust will be enough. You can always bring others once you’ve made up your mind
Have fun and enjoy it! This is the most special dress you’ll ever buy, so shopping for it should also be special, not stressful.
